At just 37 years old, Shaun Potgieter has already carved his name into South African boxing history. Standing 194 cm tall with an iron‑willed, front‑foot style, the Johannesburg‑born fighter captured the South African Heavyweight Title on 24 April 2024 and remains the reigning champion. After a string of knockout victories at home (AJIBU KO, GOMES KO, PRETORIUS TKO), Shaun stepped onto the global stage on 8 January 2025, challenging Australian star Justis Huni for the IBF Pan‑Pacific and WBO Global belts. Although he fell by TKO in round 2, the bout showcased Shaun’s fearless ambition and signalled that “God’s Warrior” is ready to test himself against the world’s elite.
